
Reverend Darnell L. Montgomery is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Rev. Montgomery accepted the Lord at an early age.
In 1995, he relocated to Shippensburg Pennsylvania, and united with St. Peter’s AME Church, Shippensburg. In June of 1996 Rev. Montgomery preached his trial sermon and was licensed to preach in the AME church later that month. May of 1997, Rev. Montgomery was assigned as the Supply Pastor of Bethel AME Church, Greencastle, Pennsylvania, where he served for a year.
May 1998, he was ordained an Itinerant Deacon in the AME church, and was assigned to pastorate of Bethel AME Church, Mecersburg, Pennsylvania, where he served until May 2001.
May 2001, he was assigned the pastorate of St. Paul AME Church, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
In May of 2000 Rev. Montgomery was ordained to Itinerant Elder in the AME Church. He has served as a Marshal in the Philadelphia Annual Conference, and Assistant Secretary of the Philadelphia Annual Conference.
He is a graduate of Shippensburg University (Bachelors of Social Work) and Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary (Master in Divinity). He has plans to continue his education by obtaining a Phd in Homiletics (Preaching). He is a member of the Pennsylvania Black Conference on Higher Education, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and holds a number of awards and recognitions.
