  			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<a href='http://www.metropolitanameharlem.org/n/let_somebody_know.html'><img src='http://www.metropolitanameharlem.org/share/mod_news_images/51-thumb.jpg' style='float: right; border: 1px solid black;'></a> <div>Commission Unveiling</div> On Friday, February 18, 2006 the Metropolitan AME Church Family made history, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture will never be the same.&nbsp; With a group of over a hundred individuals the Lamplighters Ministry presented to those present with an original art piece from Synthia Saint James.&nbsp; The official unveiling was a demonstration of faith in action, as the church moves toward renovation.&nbsp; Synthia Saint James was on hand for the unveiling and was avaliable to sign prints that were pre ordered or purchased that evening.&nbsp;&nbsp;There were a number of individuals of television and stage were&nbsp;on hand for the unveiling, Carl Gordon (Andrew Emerson of Roc), Barbara Montgomery (Sister Casietta Hetebrink, of Amen) and many other's.&nbsp; <br />The original print will belong to Metropolitan, however, limited edtions of the print are avaliable for purchase.&nbsp; The cost of each unframed print is $250.00 per print.&nbsp; Soon you will be able to purchase the print on line, in the meantime you may purchase the print by callilng the church office at 212-69-1834.&nbsp;]]></content:encoded>

  			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div>Breakfast</div> <p><font face="Times New Roman" size="4">On Saturday January 27, 2007, the Women's Season Committee of Metropolitan held it's Annual Kick-Off Breakfast.&nbsp; Hats off to Sister Emma Lee and Sister Joyce Davis for their work on the breakfast.&nbsp; We gathered at the Brownstone, Patterson, New Jersey with a crowd of over a 100 people.&nbsp; Sister Ruth Morgan served as devotional/worhsip leader and assisted in setting the tone for the worship experience.&nbsp; </font></p>
<p><font face="Times New Roman" size="4">We were blessed of God by the preached word.&nbsp; Reverend Maxine Nixon, Pastor of Finnmore United Methodist Church, Brooklyn, broke the bread of life to us.&nbsp; The word was certianly &quot;Manna&quot; from heaven!&nbsp; Reverend Nixon reminded those gathered that things in the Kingdom of God are process, and all things take on a process!</font></p>
<p><font face="Times New Roman" size="4">We salute Sister Mozell Stewart, Sister Erma Smith, Sister Michelle Minton; as the leadership for this year's Women's Season.&nbsp; We also salute the captians and the work they are doing to assist with meeting all goals.&nbsp; The kick off breakfast was a success and it helped to set us moving in the right direction.&nbsp; </font></p>]]></content:encoded>
